Just as Jesus
went into the wilderness
for
a time of prayer and renewal, Amnicons retreat
ministry seeks to provide a quiet sanctuary set apart
from everyday life for reflection and study.
Our high adventure camp and wilderness retreat center was
started in 1967 as an outreach program of Central
Lutheran Church. Recognizing the need for retreat and
renewal, Amnicons ministry of Christ-centered
hospitality developed, welcoming groups of all kinds.
Thousands of people have rested and reflected in the
beauty of this awesome Lake Superior setting. Whatever
your purpose, you are sure to nourish your mind, body and
spirit.
Your group will be the only group at camp. You can
customize your retreat any way you wish. Set meal and
recreation times to fit your schedule. Take advantage of
this beautiful, tranquil setting with abundant wildlife
and the many recreational opportunities!

"It's
great being the only group on site." |
Located on Nearly
700 Acres
Our retreat center is found nestled among a mixed wood,
natural forest overlooking the beautiful Amnicon River. A
short walk along a grassy path brings you to a half-mile
