For over 40 years, Camp Amnicon has offered high adventure and retreat programs in the western Lake Superior area to youth and adults. We strive to connect the mission of the church (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) with the care of God’s creation through high adventure, canoeing, camping, and retreating.
Our secluded 700-acre site is located on the south shore of Lake Superior, 20 miles East of Duluth-Superior, along the Amnicon River.

…From Superior, Wisconsin…
- Take
Highways 2 East & 53 South out of Superior
- Exit
on Highway 13 — 1 mile outside of Superior
(also the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore exit)
- Turn
left at the top of the exit ramp onto Highway 13
— follow 13 for 3 miles
- Turn
left at S. Camp Amnicon Road
(also Amnicon Falls State Park sign)
- After 2.5 miles, the dirt road splits. Veer right at the split. The road ends in the middle of camp
