Thank you for your interest in a staff position at Camp Amnicon this summer.
If you get excited about a summer filled with adventure, personal &
spiritual growth, living in Christ-centered community and being an important
part of youth development Amnicon is for you! Amnicon is an adventure based
camp that embarks on some of the most unique outdoor program offerings of any
Christian camp. From canoe camping in the 34-foot Voyageur canoes on Lake
Superior, to white water canoe excitement on the Brule River, from
backpacking some of the most beautiful northern country, to canoeing the
sparkling lakes of the Sylvania Wilderness Area, Amnicon is unforgettable!

In order to be considered for a staff position, you will need to complete the
following steps. Positions fill quickly, so please don't delay. Here’s what
we need from you:
1. APPLICATION
Complete the application and send it to the camp address
ASAP. (Inclusion of a photo is helpful, but not required).
2. REFERENCE FORMS
Send copies of the reference form to persons who know
your abilities as they relate to the position you are applying for
(employers, your pastor, your advisor, teachers, etc.). Please make them
aware that we cannot complete your application process until we have received
their reference form. Don't let this “stall” your chances — give each
reference a self addressed envelope and check back with them.
3. INTERVIEW
A personal interview is required, and can be accomplished at various camp
fairs. If you are unable to interview at your college’s camp fair, you must
call to set up an interview. Personal interviews are preferred; telephone
interviews can be scheduled only when all other possibilities are exhausted.
4. BACKGROUND CHECK
In the event that Camp Amnicon offers you a position, we will need to conduct
a background check. To fill out the background check forms, go to www.r3campingnetwork.org then
click on "NEW Online Background Check Secured Site". You can then fill
out the background check forms.
Positions will begin to be offered in late February. Sometimes, positions are
still available later, so please call if you are wondering where we are in
processing your application.
Please return your application as soon as possible. We want to consider you
for a position as we embark on another summer adventure centered in Christ at
Amnicon!
